Mia was born and raised in Alaska. She has always loved to pick up a pencil and create something only the imagination can. As she matured the finding of many different forms of art media enthralled her and kept her interest tuned.

A Wasilla High School graduate, class of 2007! For the last year and a half Mia has been living in Phoenix, Arizona! Talk about a major step - she practically leapt! Family is very important. Going from being surrounded by your family all the time - within a half hours driving distance of one relative or another's house at all times - to Arizona was hard. In late 2007 Mia was unsure what classes she wanted to take in college, and decided to take a semester off to get it together.

Her older sister Steph just happened to be visiting and offered to let her come down for a "working vacation." If you like it, stay sort of situation. What started out as a three month "working vacation" has now turned into Mia having her very own apartment in Phoenix with a new car and working two jobs! It is hard to find time to paint with the kind of hours she puts in, but slow as they are appearing the creations are still her stuff!
